I am also facing this same problem with 'Dynamic Duo', whenever I try to sleep the  screen just freezes and juts shows the bedroom and nothing else

Seems like unity backed down, they release an open apology letter for the community on Twitter. Not a lot but a little process, but it still won't be able to recover the trust it once had.

So the locations for the "borrow" log quest is one near the castle entrance on the left side, another on the top left side on the game and the last one is near the medics place. hope this helps
